The difference between a normal thought and a belief is the amount of congruent feeling associated with that thought.
A thought with a little congruent feeling would be called a weak belief or a wish.
A thought with an intense, powerful feeling associated with it would be called a strong belief or a conviction.
"For as thinketh in his heart so is he" prov 23:7
To think in your heart, is to think with FEELING.
This is BELIEVING.
If you want to make changes in your life, you must change what you believe.Not an easy thing to do if you don't understand how you formed the beliefs you already have.
The beliefs you already have were formed by information you recieved from your enviroment. However, most, or all of this was done without conscious effort or control, leaving us at the mercy of whatever enviroment we happened to have stumbled into.
But if it is true that our beliefs are formed by exposure to a particular enviroment, and we understand this, we have power to choose what we want to believe.
WE can control our enviroment, we can control what we are exposed to, therefor we can control what we believe.
We can also strengthen or weaken beliefs by choosing to focus our attention on specific subjects.
Condition your mind by reading, hearing, and speaking (to yourself ).
Reading, listening, and speaking, will cause you to start thinking, and imagining.
Thinking, and imagining will cause you start feeling.
As you start thinking, imagining and feeling congruently, you have started to believe.
As you continue this process your thoughts and imaginations will grow in quantity and quality, and your feelings will become more intense, creating a sense of certainty.
Now you have created a belief or conviction, created by design.
This belief, which is a SPIRITUAL FORCE, will control your world, including yourself and everyone in it.
